Rouse Maternity Photos | Raleigh, NC

I first met and photographed Kara and Easton for a mommy and me session in July of 2014. It is still one of my favorites to this day! Little did we know at the time that I actually knew her husband…such a small world. Since that first session I have had the pleasure of photographing them as a family of 3. When Kara shared with me that they were expecting, I was overjoyed for them! So when it was time for their maternity photos I could not wait to see them and catch up.

Kara told me she was wearing her mom’s wedding dress for her maternity photos and I was not quite sure what to expect until she showed it to me. Her moms wedding dress showed off her precious bump in all the right ways. When they arrived at Yates Mill for their session, I was blown away at how perfect she looked in it and loved how meaningful it was.

Easton is a sweet, sensitive boy but also has a super playful side. He loves making people laugh, which makes him smile and laugh also. He loves trains (especially Thomas), dinosaurs, kicking and throwing balls, and playing in water. He already loves his baby sister and I know he is going to be a great big brother!

I asked Kara what would you love to remember about this time in your lives? Her response was “A new life coming into this world and just being together as a family, the simple things”. They are an amazing family that love spending time together no matter what they are doing. I look forward to seeing them next to photograph them as a family of four once their sweet newborn girl arrives!
