Proposal | Raleigh, NC | Erin and Ian
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]When I was first contacted by Ian to photograph his proposal to Erin I could not have been any more excited! To be able to capture such a special occasion is such an honor.
I met with Ian on a rainy Wednesday night to go over the proposal details. Thankfully the sun came out just in time and we were able to run through a quick practice to help ease the nerves a little bit. Ian had all the details planned out even including having family and friends there to celebrate afterwards. I was very impressed! I asked Ian how or why he chose to propose this way and he said: “We love Raleigh and always enjoyed the view from Boylan Bridge and knew we wanted to have a celebration right after the proposal. Proposing on the bridge and having all our family and friends there to celebrate was very memorable”.
When the big day arrived it was another rainy day. I prayed all day for the rain to stop in time for Ian to propose to Erin, and guess what?! It stopped just in time!
The plan was for them to come walking up the Boylan Bridge towards the Boylan Bridge Pub and stop in the middle so that the Raleigh skyline was in the background. Ian did a great job planning out what he knew she wanted and when the time came it happened just as planned! They came walking up and he spun her around and then got down on one knee.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][postgallery_grid id=”grid_” data_source=”data-4″ orderby=”ASC” slidesetid=”Proposal set 1″ content_type=”image” masonry=”masonry” lightbox=”yes” columns=”6″ columnpadding=”column_padding”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3683″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3685″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3687″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][postgallery_grid id=”grid_” data_source=”data-4″ orderby=”ASC” slidesetid=”Proposal set 2″ content_type=”image” masonry=”masonry” lightbox=”yes” columns=”6″ columnpadding=”column_padding”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3695″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]She said YES!!! I loved when they stood up and all their family and friends waiting at the Boylan Bridge Pub were cheering and Erin turned and waved her new ring! Erin wanted to have the proposal photographed, but she didn’t know Ian set up a photographer. She was pleasantly surprised! We snapped some photos right after the proposal on the bridge and then they headed to their family and friends.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3741″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3713″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][imageeffect image=”3719″ overlay_state=”hover” lightbox=”yes” target=”_self”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][postgallery_grid id=”grid_” data_source=”data-4″ orderby=”ASC” slidesetid=”Proposal set 3″ content_type=”image” columns=”6″ columnpadding=”column_padding” masonry=”masonry” lightbox=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/1″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Erin and Ian said their favorite memories of the proposal were “Being able to celebrate that night with friends and family and having the proposal captured with pictures”.
Their family and friends greeted the newly engaged couple with warm hugs, lots of congrats, showing off the new ring, and some cold beverages! It was time to celebrate!!!
